This treasure results from Aurelien Suenen’s wish to create a Rosé mainly from Chardonnay grapes. The red grapes content has been reduced to a minimum, just enough to give the wine a Rosé colour, combining lightness and the characteristic mineral taste of Chardonnays found in the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. Its notes of strawberries, red cherries and citrus pair beautifully with the complex flavours.
We are thrilled to offer another stunning Champagne from Aurelien Suenen. Aurelien has taken the Champagne world by storm and the buzz around this passionate winemaker just keeps getting louder and louder with each vintage. He is a dashing 31-year-old former pro basketball player, yes that was pro basketball player, who took over his family’s famed Domaine when his father tragically passed away a few years ago. At that point, he began to work differently in the vineyards and the cellar to underscore the terroir. He is strongly influenced by the new generation of biodynamic producers, focused on small parcels, and as he evolves, his wines will become ever more specific of their origin.
