From the "Golden Child" of Champagne...
An elegant Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from Avize
Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in a single Grand Crú vineyard in Chouilly.
“Fût de Chêne” (“Oak Barrels”) is 100% Chardonnay fermented and aged in, yes, French oak barrels, coopered from oak grown on the top of the Montagne de Reims. A favorite for the fantastical pairings at the famed Alinea (awarded three stars by Michelin).
From 35-year-old Chardonnay vines, this is an exceptional vintage ~ something a patient bon vivant would cellar. That said, I have yet to meet a terribly patient bon vivant.
From revered chalky terroir, “Fleur de Craie” (Flower of Chalk), a Blanc de Blancs, expresses freshness and finesse with a pale golden color and fine effervescence. It is made from the treasured "Coeur,” the first press.
