Rich & voluptuous, this treasure is named for the Archbishop Aubrey de Humbert, who, in May 1211, laid the foundation stone of the Reims Cathedral ~ home to the coronation of French Kings.

Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in a single Grand Crú vineyard in Chouilly.
“Fût de Chêne” (“Oak Barrels”) is 100% Chardonnay fermented and aged in, yes, French oak barrels, coopered from oak grown on the top of the Montagne de Reims. A favorite for the fantastical pairings at the famed Alinea (awarded three stars by Michelin).

From 35-year-old Chardonnay vines, this is an exceptional vintage ~ something a patient bon vivant would cellar. That said, I have yet to meet a terribly patient bon vivant.
