Henriet-Bazin is a marriage of two of the oldest families in Champagne. The original Henriet family specialized in Champagne production whereas the Bazins were grape growers. Their Villers-Marmery terroir is classified as Premier Cru and is the only village in Montagne de Reims to be planted 99% with Chardonnay grapes (typically Montagne de Reims is Pinot Noir territory).
